Microsoft azure and edge platform division’s engineering, production & security services team manages the world’s largest engineering system that has more than 5,000 developers working on a codebase of more than 220 million lines and contributing 4.5 million changes each year, which is stored on the largest git repository on the planetThe system manages 440+ official branches that build every day generating 4+ petabytes of product binaries each day.

We are looking for a strong program manager who can help improve our build supply chain security and reimagine generation and management of our build toolingHelp us optimize the build processes to improve performance without impacting reliability or accuracy, while providing completeness and auditabilityThe role will support both developer and business scenarios as code changes flow into code repositories and images are generated for production or flight releases.
Responsibilities
Define requirements and drive execution to modernize and secure the build services and tooling.
Synthesize customer data into clear concise requirements and functional specifications; and communicate them to all stakeholders.
Drive feature prioritization, embracing a customer focused, live site first approach.
Drive cross group collaboration, ensuring partner needs are met, and requests are clearly communicated.
Manage and coordinate service rollouts, customer communications, relationships and expectations.
Work with kusto data sources to develop reports and dashboards.
Lead in the resolution of both people and project related problems
Qualifications
Required:
3+ years’ experience working on a technically challenging complex problem space requiring cross group or partner collaboration.
3+ years’ experience in a role representing customer needs within the business.
2+ years’ experience in systems security.
2+ years’ experience in cloud technologies.
A passion for helping our customers achieve more.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex problems from a customer centric point of view.
Preferred:
Experience in distributed systems.
Basic knowledge of engineering systems and processes at a large scale.
Good understanding of software supply chain security concerns.
Bachelors in cs, is or electrical engineering or equivalent training.
Experience writing scenario specifications.
Experience with build systems.
Experience working in a software development team.
Knowledge or experience in operating systems development.
Ability to meet microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this roleThese requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft cloud background check: this position will be required to pass the microsoft cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
