Mesa seeks a p & c engineer associate to provide p&c design and peer review of schematics, wiring diagrams, panel front views and various other substation related documents.
Education/experience:
Bs in electrical engineering from an abet accredited college/university
Minimum of 2 years of experience
As a p&c engineering associate for working mesa, you will be part of an established p&c design team that supports a variety of substation projects for several clientsThe projects range from small breaker replacement projects to multi-million dollar greenfield installationsSystem voltages will range from 15 kv to 500 kvAll projects will entail technical coordination with the substation physical discipline to ensure that the interface points between disciplines are properly accounted for in the p&c design.
The specific substation systems that the p&c design engineer will be responsible for include the following:
Switching diagrams and protection one-lines
Three-lines and ac schematics
Dc schematics including alarms and rtu points
Relay panel layouts and bills of materials
Control enclosure layouts and bills of materials
Ac/dc panel layouts
Station service size calculations
Dc battery calculations
Control cable voltage drop calculations
Relay panel and equipment wiring diagrams
Successful candidate will be working closely with licensed engineers and other designers/engineers on a daily basis.
