Overview:
This is a remote position.
The analyst-retirement provides professional and administrative support for designated mercy clients on a ministry-wide basisMaintains pension files and research pension records to respond to inquiries and court orders for mercy co-workers, spouses, families, retirees, and legal representativesServes on pension and hr projects and large-scale initiativesAdministers selected pension programs and functions and coordinates with external benefit vendors and carriersMakes routine to moderately difficult decisions regarding pension issues and initiates or recommends appropriate actionsInterprets and enforces pension and hr policies and practicesMaintains confidentiality of personnel information and exhibits independent judgment and decision makingPerforms all work in accordance with mercy`s mission, vision, values, and service standards.
Qualifications:
Experience: three years human relations experience.
Required education: bachelor`s degree in human resources, business, finance, actuarial science or related field; or equivalent experience.
Preferred education:
A bachelor`s degree in actuarial science.
One or more years` experience supporting pension or record keeping functions including a working knowledge of pension plan design and exposure to visual basic programming language.
Other:
Solid technical and analytical ability using spreadsheet, database and erp systems and software required.
Must be able to work independently under general supervisionMust be able to analyze data, interpret findings and recommend actions.
Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills that allow this analyst to effective support pension and hr ministry-wide operations.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and in a team environment.
Computer proficiency and advanced technical aptitude with word, excel and access.
