To maintain and strengthen business partnerships that advance the mission of march of dimes as well as ensure projects supported by corporations and foundations are executed effectively, on schedule, achieving milestones, and on budgetPartner with the march of dimes corporate/foundation engagement team as needed in designing impactful project proposals with mission components and leadership.
Manage project(s) within the mission department or organization-wide projects that have maternal child health program componentsDevelop and maintain partnerships with project officers and the entities funding the project(s) to ensure a project’s success over the course of the relationshipServe as the organization’s leader (both internally and externally) of assigned project(s) and individual accountable for clearance of project deliverables in order to maintain a strong business relationship with donorsDevelop work plans for the project that take it from start to completionEnsure work plans stay on schedule, remain on budget and that key deliverables are metProvide constructive feedback to staff working on the project to meet deadlines and achieve desired resultsConceive, draft, and oversee development of written products, presentations and other materials.
Work with project officer funding the project(s) to agree on the metrics used to evaluate the success of project(s)Achieve accountability measures for each project such as outcomes, processes, timelines in partnership with departments at march of dimes and with external entities providing fundingDrive reporting accountability with internal and external partners, design and maintain scorecards/dashboards which report on the reach and impact of the projects, and ensure monthly updates are standardly reported to all stakeholders.
Manage project plan and drive accountability for projects with a core team of contributors across the organization, including other departments (corporate engagement, marcomm, etc.) and effectively engage business partners in reporting progress on the entire project
5-7 years experience
Master`s degree (mba, mph) or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience, with evidence of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and driving accountability of subject matter experts and cross-functional contributors on a matrix team.
Expertise in business, budget, and project management principles.
Possess understanding of, and curiosity about, the intricacies of the national healthcare system, social determinants of health, or public health.
Strong writing, editing, analytical, speaking and presentation skills.
Excellent communication and persuasion skills, with ability to influence without direct authority, communicate effectively in virtual work environment, and inspire accountability and action
Apply leadership and organizational skills with careful attention to detail and ability to lead the coordination of various march of dimes work streams.
Proficient in microsoft office, including ability to design and deliver strong powerpoint presentations.
Fluency in project management tools such as asana.
Pmp or other project management certification and experience leading large corporate and/or foundation partnership projects, preferred
Proven problem-solving skills and capacity to adapt quickly to changing and often challenging environments.
Have a proven track record of effectively leading and managing complex projects.
Ability to think critically and provide appropriate solutions.
