The microfluidics and heat transfer lab (mfhtl), within deptOf mechanical engineering and deptOf physics, invites motivated applicants for applied computational fluid dynamics for biomedical flow systems.
Suitable candidates will be offered a ph.dStudentship based on performance.
Recent advances in image-based computational fluid dynamics
Have enabled detailed study of hemodynamics in the heart and major blood vessels for patients with cardiovascular diseases and aneurysmsSuch studies can offer key insights into disease progression and subsequent site-specific drug delivery.
Preferred qualifications include experiences:
Masters in mechanical engineering and/or physics.
Programming languages (matlab, python etc.)
Experimental/theoretical/computational fluid mechanics
Commercial cfd software comsol (preferred) and fluent.
Commercial cad software
