The capacity and forecasting team is looking for a team-member with strong analytical, technical, and consultative skillsThe team is tasked with supporting grm service and claims organizations through capacity modeling, forecasting, and delivering optimized insights on key operational and strategic questionsMay develop analytical tools used by others to do their jobs more effectively and guide decision-making while providing technical and analytical assessments of issues facing the businessYou will assist the team in achieving the defined staffing goals by analyzing data and collaborating with stakeholders and/or external vendors to monitor operational healthQueries data to conduct analyses or support the execution of advanced analyses; utilize quantitative techniques to solve business problemsPresents findings / recommendations which impact profitability, growth, and/or customer satisfaction.
In addition to the responsibilities below, you will:
Collaborate with the service operation to deliver analytical insights into capacity planning and forecasting.
Partner with stakeholders to jointly align on the design and trade-offs within the models.
Independently perform analysis that tells a compelling/structured story and produces logical conclusions, actionable insights, outcome valuations, risk assessments, strategic impact and positively impacts business results.
Support cross functional projects to deliver capacity management initiatives to the business
Support the grm u.sService organization, applying analytical insight, critical thinking and strong business knowledge to drive data driven decision making
Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams and lead discussions with senior leadership at the department or functional level.
Present findings / recommendations which impact profitability, growth, and/or customer satisfaction and answer complex questions by synthesizing data from diverse sources.
Manages moderate to complex projects, while providing technical and analytical assessments of issues facing the business.
Responsibilities:
Conducts research within liberty mutual and/or externally to obtain information such as financial data, product or market profiles, or business process flows.
Works with other departments, conduct interviews, or conduct primary or secondary research if information is not readily available.
Compiles information and analyzes qualitatively and/or quantitatively, developing software applications/models and conducting follow up and data verification as needed.
Analyze feasibility, cost ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential programs.
Based on analysis, develops reports, proposals for action or implementation plans as necessary and presents supervisor or manager.
Communicates with other departments as necessary.
Works with other departments to coordinate interdepartmental activities in order to ensure that liberty meets customer expectations.
Resolves problems as needed to ensure that customers receive prompt, efficient service in accordance with company policies.
Meets with supervisor to discuss project status and present recommendations performs special projects as requested.
Bachelor`s degree plus 2-4 years of experience, or master`s degree with no professional experience, or equivalent.
Proficient in excel, powerpoint, and statistical software packages (sas, sql, python, r).
Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
Knowledge of data sources, tools and common statistical principals.
Understanding of intricacies of business supported is helpful.
Understands how actions tie to systems capabilities and flow through to our financials/business drivers.
Ability to learn how to build simple tools and queries for others to use.
