Le`fant is seeking a dba/sql developer to support a gi bill modernization effort.
Job description: as a developer database administrator, you will be responsible for design, implementation, support and management of oracle databases in production, test & development environmentsYou will be responsible for creation and administration of 11g databases and performance tuning efforts.
Basic technical qualifications:
Design, architect, and build databases from business requirements.
Write and troubleshoot complex stored procedures.
Develop innovation, strategies, processes, and best practices.
Design and implement disaster recovery plans
Manage and mentor small team of dbas.
Work closely with programming staff on database design changes to meet business requirements.
Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
Performance tuning of queries.
Knowledge of installation, maintenance and administration of posgtresql and configuration
Knowledge of aws database offerings
Experience migrating from other dbs to postgresql
Bachelor`s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering / technical discipline and minimum of five (5) years of experienceEight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Ability to obtain va medium-background investigation clearance
Experience working on a va legacy system for education service is highly preferred
Remote work is allowed as long as you are willing and able to travel 5-6 times per year to either the dc metro area or to va facility locations
