Summary
Kitsap credit union is hiring full-time salaried core programmer analyst ii with the option to work out of our corporate downtown bremerton, wa location in beautiful kitsap county, hybrid or fully remote for washington state residentsThis position is responsible for the subject matter expertise on the core banking platform to include analyzing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and ensuring technical supportIt will include programming various jobs on the core banking platformThis role tests and installs all software releases and hardware/firmware updatesThe core programmer analyst ii participates in projects and disaster recovery planning efforts to meet organizational needs and frequently engages with management, vendors and end users.

Typical job duties
Provides 3rd party integrations support using symconnect/symxchange/power frame integrations methods.
Participate in routine system maintenanceModify job files, batch processing, parameters, test directories, consoles and print queues, security groups and other items associated with the symitar core and opcon automation softwareMake changes at the request of credit union management and staff
Create, modify, update system jobs, schedules, reports, and procedures to comply with all operational solutions.
Monitor core databases for data quality, efficiency, reliability, and performanceRecommend potential enhancements in process or performance.
Support projects to enhance, upgrade of core banking environment and third-party applicationsDemonstrate service excellence in delivering successful solutions, including helping define requirements, application deployment, implementing best-practices, supporting testing efforts, and providing documentation while working with business units
Provide 24x7 on-call system support for information technology and cover shifts as required on a rotation basis.

Basic qualifications
Associates’ or technical two-year degree in a field related to data processingBachelors’ degree in computer science, equivalent education, or five years of experience with core mainframe systems.
Five years’ experience of unix and aix.
Five years’ experience as a system programmer analyst.
Two years’ experience html, sql, java script, and powershell.
Five years’ experience with mainframe backup and scheduling software.
