Product manager, simulation
At i-human patients by kaplan, we seek a product manager to help us spearhead our virtual simulation product team as we develop, identify opportunities, build creative solutions, and grow our simulation business.
Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in consumer-facing digital product management, with a preference for experience in simulation or realistic / “serious” gaming environmentsHealthcare experience is a plus.
They must have a customer-first mindset, a strong understanding of development processes, e.g., scrum, agile, etcAnd the ability to develop data pipelines to allow tracking, analysis, and improvement of our digital product.
This role requires a candidate with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as you`ll be working with a sophisticated, cross-functional team from various disciplines to interpret large amounts of qualitative and quantitative dataThis role is customer-centric, focused on translating the customer’s needs into online business opportunitiesThis role relies on strong leadership-by-influence skills, as you will need to persuade and gain the consensus of your talented colleagues to drive decisions through a fact-based, analytically driven approach.
Manage the product roadmap and backlog for all digital products
Oversee and manage lead requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
Partner with the executive teams to identify critical capabilities needed as well as identifying potential issues
Participate in the engineering scrum / agile process, including, but not limited to, influencing decisions on iteration and release planning
Partner with cross-functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
Partner with engineering to manage the roadmap and backlog to ensure that the engineering team delivers all capabilities on time and per expectations
Oversee user experience testing to improve the product with cross-functional teams throughout kaplan, including lx, ux, and psychometrics/data science.
Work with product marketing to develop positioning and messaging to ensure differentiation from competitors
Monitor and evaluate product performance to ensure constant product iteration and improvements
Assist in prioritizing support escalations relative to new product development
5+ years of experience in digital product management and/or similar experience successfully collaborating with high-performing engineering teams
Awareness of and experience with successfully integrating accessibility into product roadmaps
Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills
Usability and customer-focused design experience a plus
Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems
