Enhance situational awareness for police as they respond, allowing for quicker and safer outcomes
Relay medical data to emts en route so they can provide personalized, life-saving treatment
Communicate with multiple agencies across jurisdictions for a well-coordinated response in large-scale emergency incidents, such as chemical spills, natural disasters, and active shooter situations
Our life & safety team is looking to hire an account manager to join our public safety teamAs the account manager, you`ll be working with public safety answering points (psaps), state and local public safety officials, and public safety vendor partners on promoting intrado solutions for delivering location & additional data to where it`s needed most: 9-1-1 call-takers and dispatchers who are answering calls and saving livesYou`ll be responsible for a regional territory where psaps receive access to the intrado emergency data brokerAdditionally, you will represent the needs and desires of public safety in the product development process for new additional data interfaces and servicesThis is a great opportunity for 9-1-1 business professionals to work in a diverse and dynamic environment, in a company that brings innovation to public safety communications.
Communicate frequently with public safety answering points to evangelize our offering, maintain relationships, and build report
Responsible for new sign-ups, utilization, and support for psaps
Messaging with state and regional authorities regarding location services and adr opportunities including adoption, training, and utilization
Participate in regional events through presentations, support, and interactive sessions
Support new products/initiatives, working closely with customer ops, csms and product team
Participate in major industry conferences and standards development groups (nena, apco)
Present at regional public safety speaking engagements to educate the community on technology advancements as intrado offers psaps thought leadership on how new commercial technology can be adapted in a public safety context
Act as an advisor or consultant to state and regional representatives to provide solutions for emergency response challenges
Schedule, plan, execute and track multiple simultaneous deployments of the emergency data broker into psap systems (cpe/911, cad, map, etc.) across the united states
Bachelor`s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, information technology or a related field preferred.
Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
2+ years of experience in a sales role or account management position required
Required some experience in managing account relationships, identifying additional sales opportunities, and closing deals
Thorough understanding operational aspects of a 9-1-1 public safety answering point (psap)
In-depth familiarity with cpe/call-taking, cad, mapping and other psap technology as well as emerging ps tech (text-to-911, ng911 / nena i3 standard)
Experience in public safety business development/sales preferred
Outgoing personality and strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and work remotely / independently
Strong ability to self-start and multitask
Strong, public safety centric business acumen
Excitement and passion for a rapidly evolving public safety environment
Adaptable to new workflows and responsibilities
Ability to travel frequently
Emergency number professional certification preferred
Travel required, as needed
