Who are you?
You bring a minimum of 7 years of product design experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in team building and people management
You have previously managed a team of 5 or more, and have mastery at scaling the team
You have a strong portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills at a large scale and high design caliber; please provide a link to your portfolio (and password if applicable)
You show extreme ownership and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
You are an excellent storyteller and proactive communicator
You exhibit strong problem-solving skills, a bias for action, owner mentality, and tenacity
You inspire us with your strong self-awareness and candor
You are comfortable working with team members across different geographies and timezones
Responsibilities:
Independent ownership of the apac design team
Grow the team by hiring exceptional talent
Set the north star design vision for the partner side of the marketplace, and define the pragmatic milestones to achieve the vision with the cross-functional team
You will report to the global head of design
Act as the ux advocate to inform our product and design strategies, and use quantitative data and qualitative feedback to inform the design decisions iteratively
Inspire a culture of “boots on the ground” research with our team
Own design outcomes for a wide scope of business and product goals for our users
Champion relationships and work on strategy with cross-functional working teams such as product, engineering, research and operations
Partner closely with the rest of the product and design leadership to build the holistic journey in the marketplace
Lead the team to execute the best-crafted and high-impact product that will set the trend in the industry
Coach and mentor designers and managers and help them perform at their best and achieve their career goals
Build a culture that elevates the team, both in performance and morale
Establish the operating model that increases the team`s effectiveness
