What youâll do:
Supports and demonstrates ima’s core values.

Trains and educates internal and external stakeholders on key elements of global risk and insurance strategy and consulting skills
Leads the global account manager(s) and global account coordinator(s) and directs their activities related to the ima global risk practice
Conduct periodic coaching or performance review meetings with team members as needed and complete documentation as established by the human resources department.
Monitor and coordinate training and development of all team members (global account executives, global account managers); ensure the quality control standards of the team are continually maintained.
Develop & maintain proactive communication level with ima service teams, clients, production staff and external partnersThis includes handling client and/or insurance company questions/issues concerning services rendered or referring complaints of service failures to the appropriate management staff for investigation and resolution.
Participate in preparation of new and renewal submissions and obtain underwriting information.
Support and/or assist managing director and global analyst on rfi and rfp responses.
In conjunction with producers, develop a service plan tailored to client`s needs and coordinate the services of other ima departments (risk management, claims, surety, contract review, etc.) as needed.
Participate in developing marketing strategy for renewals and new business including cultivating and maintaining good communication with insurance markets.
Conduct periodic coverage and business risk reviews to ensure the adequacy of the client`s program design.
Develop sales of additional lines of coverage or services on existing accountsThis includes employee benefits lines of coverage.
Responsible for collection of all account receivable items and/or review of foreign commissions in accordance with ima accounts receivable policy.
Responsible for negotiating of service fee contracts with ima production teams and/or external broker partners.
Communicate to account managers regarding the account review information and then bind coverage information in conjunction with workflow standards.
Attend education classes, seminars, workshops, etc., in combination with individual study programs to expand knowledge and skills to retain a book of businessThis includes maintaining and communicating up to date knowledge of market conditions, pricing strategies, market/product option etcTo all team members and producers.
Actively support the department by participating in the completion of all duties required to complete a project and service an account.
Actively support the ima global network of broker partners by engaging with wbn, assurex, ciab events, education committees, and conferences.
Serve as a leadership champion of organizational initiatives.
Communicate with global risk managing director regarding department strategies, needs, and performance.
Maintains renewal list of global p&c clients and global am assignments
You should have::
At least seven years of similar or related experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Leadership experience within commercial insurance is required.
Ability to think strategically based on team leadership need, client’s priorities and marketplace cycle.
Courtesy, tact and diplomacy as much of the work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong proficiency in computer skills and programs such as microsoft officeExperience understanding applied epic preferred.
Property and casualty license required for state of businessMust timely fulfill continuing education requirements to retain license.
Holds formal specialty designation (arm, cic, cpcu, industry specific designation, etc.)
Significant travel (domestic and international) required (more than 50%)
Strengthens ima brand as subject matter expert (speaking at conferences, white papers, carrier relationships, etc.)
