OrganizerThe civic engagement organizer will support outreach efforts to communities as part of the
Hispanic federation’s civic engagement programThe position will provide opportunities to learn about
Hf advocacy campaigns and will require the ability to remain flexible and adaptable regarding work
Assignments during busy campaign periods.
The successful candidate will have experience working with community-based organizations, be familiar
With the needs of the latino community in florida and understand the fundamentals of community
OrganizingThe position may require in-person events and outreach and thus requires vaccination as a
Requisite for work.
Position location: orlando, florida with remote work opportunities
Reports to: national director of civic engagement
Job duties and responsibilities
Assist with coordination and implementation of civic engagement programming and community
Support the national director of civic engagement in outreach efforts to identify advocacy
Groups, churches, service providers, etcTo expand hf volunteer base and onboard community
Partners into hf campaigns.
Support tracking and reporting data related to civic engagement outreach and programming to
Properly assess reach and impact.
Make calls, emails, texting, and social media networking related to hf advocacy and
Manage other organizing activities with full consideration for covid-19 regulations, as needed.
Attend and provide support for coalition meetings, town halls, voter registration events, and
Other hispanic federation events.
Conduct data entry and complete additional administrative tasks, as needed.
Skills and qualifications
Bachelor`s degree, and an equivalent two (2) years of experience with community organizing in the
State of florida.
Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., two weeks following the last shot of their covid-19 regimen) against
Covid-19 and provide proof of vaccination.
Demonstrate leadership and service to the latino community.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in spanish and english is required.
Ideal applicants will be efficient, with high energy and exhibit an exceptional ability to work well in a
Ability to work weekends and nights as needed during peak organizing season and a willingness to
Travel is required.
Required to have a driver’s license in good standing and access to a reliable vehicle.
Can work remotely with a laptop, wifi due to covid19 and abide by hf safety protocols.
Committed, dependable and goal oriented.
Canvass and/or campaign management experience is a plus.
Experience with digital organizing tools i.e., hustle, thru text, thru talk, virtual phone banking

The pay range for this position is set at $15 to $17 per hour and is commensurate with experience.
