Overview: the role:
The srControl engineer supports the process engineering department by providing control engineering support for the world-wide manufacturing facilitiesThe candidate will manage projects, supervise engineers, provide technical leadership, develop/implement control architecture and strategy, provide programming capabilities for machines and scada, and provide trouble shooting capabilities for manufacturing equipment and systemsThis srEngineer will interact with multiple departments and give presentations to senior managers regarding projects.
How you would contribute:
Collaborate in the development of, and conduct, training of line and maintenance personnel to skillfully operate, maintain, and upgrade the installed control systems.
Develops and conducts component and equipment validation and qualification testing to ensure proper performance to specifications.
Serve as the project manager on capex projectsIncluding development of budgets, planning, developing specifications, procurement, scheduling, installation, and commissioning.
Approves equipment vendors, sources, and specifications depending on the manufacturing needs and costs reduction requirementsInteract with testing labs to analyze and evaluate data testing results.
Manage and oversees the activities of the internal and contract staff.
Interact with multiple departments including manufacturing, marketing, quality control, global licensing, inventory control, product development, it/is, and industrial engineering regarding equipment controls and scada activities as related to the projects.
Develop maintenance systems required to support the installed control and scada systemInteracts with all levels throughout the organization, distributors, customers, and vendorsThis will additionally include the commissioning and operator training of production equipment.
Project manager for installation of control systems and scada systemsWrite specifications for controls and scada hardware/software, prepare drawings, design systems, manage bid procedures, work with purchasing, prequalify bidders, manage installation/integration, train, test, and merge into existing systems.
Have the ability to program plc’s, hmi’s, and scada systems to enhance and upgrade the existing systemsStrong knowledge of the allen bradley platform.
Provide assistance with production and maintenance to solve problems with equipment and systems.
Additional duties as assigned.

Ability to program plc and hmi programsStrong knowledge of the allen bradley platform.
Strong understanding of networks.
Strong inter-departmental communication skills with production and maintenance.
Basic working knowledge of windows, outlook, ms project, excel and word
Ability to understand mechanical systems and how they function.
Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment and be a strong team player
5-8 years as control integration engineer with experience of scada programming.
Experience working in package development and food industry is desirable.
B.sDegree in computer science or electrical engineering
Experience preferably in pharmaceutical, food, or cpg industries
Good working knowledge of cgmps, haccp/aib, and fda regulations in food and nutrition industries
