Grimm is searching for a contract manager to support grimm’s risk teamOur ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with an impeccable work ethic and a strong ability to work in a collaborative, fast-moving, and dynamic team environment.
Role and responsibilities*
Establish and manage legal and regulatory best practices for a full organization-wide contracts life cycle, including, but not limited to:
Initiating the contract drafting and review process;
Ensure requests for contract drafting and review include complete and necessary information from the business lines;
Work with business lines to ensure clarity in purpose and terms and conditions with contracts, and act as an intermediary between corporate risk and the business lines;
Draft or review agreements, as appropriate, based upon company contracting standards, escalating to counsel as appropriate;
Negotiate with counterparties; as required;
Collaborate with business lines during negotiations;
Finalize contracts and other documents; facilitate execution process;
Manage contract tracking system, recording and tracking contract throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely renewal or termination;
Conduct routine meetings with business lines to exchange the status of each contract, project, and identify any needs from corporate risk; and
Create weekly contract reports for each line of business
Serve as a liaison and contact point for contracts and insurance-related matters, including reviewing certificates of insurance for contract purposes as well as ensuring that coverage is appropriate and sufficientEnsure that any required certificates of insurance are updated upon policy renewal
Ensure that insurance matters, including renewal, are handled on a timely fashion
Perform debarment searches for downstream contractors and vendors
Work with finance, project managers, and business lines to ensure timely invoicing
Serve as a liaison for the director, corporate risk for company initiatives and projects
Provide support services for legal or regulatory reviews initiated by the director, corporate risk
Master’s degree in law, or higher
Experience as paralegal or lawyer
Bachelor’s degree in a legal-related field
5-10 years experience in contract management, in a legal department, or equivalent
