Short summary of the required skill sets and job role expectations
As a general manager - sales ops & enablement, you will be responsible for setting up and running the sales ops & enablement function in the organizationThe function will drive the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organizationReporting to the vp-sales and working closely with direct sales, marketing, and customer success, the right candidate would determine the appropriate processes, aids and tools needed to make the sales team and its processes super effective and efficient.
Role and responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day execution and continued improvement of sales process and all sales reporting
Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality, process bottlenecks and inconsistencies to prioritize opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement sales aids and tools that lead to optimized targeting, sales execution and overall efficiency.
Monitors the sales team’s compliance with required prospect engagement standards and maintaining crm data.
Coordinates training delivery to sales, sales management, and sales support personnel in the sales organization supported.
Gathers operational, planning and analytical best practices/lessons learned to share/cross pollinate with the regional teams to use and improve their own effectiveness.
Design and develop reports and analytics that result in improved efficiencies for the sales team.
Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization.
Works closely with sales management to optimize the effectiveness of the organization’s technology investments.
Provide input to senior leadership in the development and administration of sales incentive compensation programs.
Conduct market, competitor and customer analysis for strategy development and tactical sales support
Skills and competencies
Master`s degree in management from a reputed institute
10+ years experience in sales, preferably in b2b it product/services sales in india.
Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in sales ops and enablement activities in a large setup.
Proven analytical skills to track performance of a sales team.
Ability to conduct analyses on sales activity data to generate - recommendations for business growth, efficiencies and process improvement
Proven leadership abilities to setup a complete department ground up
Expertise with crm systems (mis and analytics)
Strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex analyses
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with field and corporate departments
Effective and professional communication, presentation and conflict management.
