About the role
Graphika is looking for a motivated and team-oriented pr and communications professional to join our growing marketing and communications teamAs a member of this team, you`ll cross-collaborate and play a critical role in helping graphika shape how they engage with clients and mediaYou`ll have a wide variety of responsibilities, ranging from identifying strategies to reach niche audiences across multiple channels to configuring workflows to support the launch of graphika’s saas productYou`ll employ your strong project management skills to manage, track and coordinate key initiatives and projectsThis role will also provide communications expertise to support the development of key projects, strategic communication plans and enhance graphika’s business line management process.
Areas of responsibility
Support vp marketing communications in the development of the pr + media strategy (disinformation and commercial space and product launch) seeking high-level placements across media channels.
Manage media inquiries and interview requests; serve as a media spokesperson and liaison on highly visible issues; leveraging existing media relationships and cultivating new contacts.
Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the pr and communication needs for the organization in support of all key stakeholders
Build and update media listsDistribute relevant press releases.
Support vp on the creation of the marketing calendar with a key focus on pr, product launch and event marketing vehicles
Promote product launch events and work with teams to organize and execute.
Review and determine national and international awards and events that we should participate in and manage participation.
Work with key stakeholders to create communication guidelines for graphika.
Manage the communication strategy for e-newsletters, blogs, and speaking events in partnership with marketing manager
Using cision, track/provide analysis of relevant news stories and social media conversations across multiple issue areas, producing analytics and coverage reports.
Create weekly and quarterly pr insights/highlights to be shared with key stakeholders and on the website.
Collaborate with marketing manager and demand generation manager to help create and project manage marketing materials including blog posts, social media posts, webinar /podcast news segments and other content.
6+ years of progressive experience performing the related duties and responsibilities such as overseeing and developing communication plans, media and public relations strategies; creating and implementing content for internal/external publications (i.ePress releases, newsletters, radio/television interview and industry publications); responding to media inquiries, managing media relations and establishing industry contacts.
Experience managing complex topics and governance and stakeholder environments, such as across multiple agencies in the public sector and commercial sectors.
Experience in either cyber security or with the federal government is a plus.
High level of comfort with fluid priorities; ability to manage multiple and complex priorities efficiently and effectively
Familiarity with social media monitoring and management tools, such as cision, salesforce social studio, etc.
Creative thinker, someone who thinks outside of the box, and has the ability to implement innovative communication platforms and tools, including leading-edge public relations strategies.
Be a leader, team player, and proactive professional who works and thinks strategically, while guiding the team at the tactical level to deliver high-value communications results.
Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal.
Unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity, diversity, trust and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Positive interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including leadership, team-members, external partners, and clients.
Willingness to travel to events/conferences as need be.
