Grafana labs is seeking a corporate development manager to focus on m&a, strategic partnerships and ip licensingAs a corporate development manager you will be working with grafana labs engineering, product, and gtm teams to identify and negotiate transactions for grafana labs that enhance and accelerate grafana labs’s observability capabilities for customersYou will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the company through sourcing, validating and negotiating these highly impactful transactions.

Take the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage strategic transactions (m&a, investments, partnerships, etc.) that enhance and accelerate grafana labs’s capabilities for customers
Evaluate the economic and strategic cost-benefit of m&a deals and partnerships and be able to advise senior leadership on suggested prioritization and expected impact of a given project or investment
Ability to understand and negotiate key aspects of m&a, investments and intellectual property deals, especially matters related to open source licensing and business models
Lead cross-functional teams including product, operations, engineering, legal, finance, tax, accounting, and senior management to execute on the key transactions and expand important relationships
Develop best practices to foster, manage, and track opportunities, improve deal execution and operationalize key terms
Support the strategic objectives and interests of grafana labs on a global basis.
Extensive experience in technology corporate development, strategy consulting, product management, investment banking, or venture investing experience in a corporate or financial services environment
Bachelor`s degree in finance, computer science/engineering or other indication of mathematical or technical acumen
End-to-end negotiation experience, including identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships and transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, acqui-hires, investments, licensing, co-development, and strategic technology relationships
Ability to independently research and assess market opportunities, understand key metrics, describe a given landscape, engage with potential prospects, and propose possible collaboration deals based on research and insight.
Mba from a top-tier program
Experience with open source
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics
Thought leader with a solid understanding of it technologies
Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others internally and externally
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to gain mindshare with senior management and external partners
Ability to build and maintain a network of relationships which facilitate deal flow
Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment
Passion for new challenges and a good sense of humor.
