In response to the global covid-19 pandemic, we have launched a new service: concentric by ginkgoWe firmly believe that testing is an essential requirement to re-open the economy as quickly and safely as possibleConcentric is the largest provider of k-12 covid-19 testingWe currently run state-level k-12 testing programs in more than 10 states and some of the nation’s largest school districtsTo date, concentric has sequenced more than 15,000 samples from a variety of sample types, in support of public health.
We are seeking a motivated project manager for biosecurity innovation to join our growing team and be a part of the implementation of covid-19 testing and sequencing as we design the future of biosecuritySpecifically, you will work directly with key members of the concentric innovation team to manage projects from concept development to pilot stage, and facilitate hand-off of projects to our operations team, when readyThe project manager will help lead concentric’s growth in this domain for covid-19 and beyondYou are a cross-functional team player, passionate about forming a tight, collaborative loop with our cross-functional teams within concentric to design better pilot projects to accelerate adoption and operations to enable strategic growthThe project manager will work closely with the innovation and concentric cross-functional team leads to facilitate the advancement of solutions to address unmet needs in pandemic responseThe ideal candidate will have the project management skills and technical background to extract and manage a pipeline of activities related to biosurveillance, sequencing, novel biotechnologies in this domain.
Please note: this is a remote role, however, travel to our boston office or other locations for workshops/off sites/team meetings are required approximately once every month.

Responsibilities
Create & maintain program level smartsheet plans from concept development to pilot launch and transition to operations.
Support coordination of critical upstream and downstream activities for smooth operational handoffs, change management, communication of blockers and help needed.
Synthesize priorities from cross-functional team leads and effectively communicate to project teams to drive clear alignment of goals and activities to reach those goals.
Work with individual project teams and cross functional team leads to ensure identification and communication of program/project risks, development of risk plan and proactive management of risk response strategies.
Standardize project management tools and methods across all projects to ensure efficiency, repeatability, and effectiveness of planning, managing and reporting.
Measure and evaluate project performance with respect to the programmatic and technical successes, and provide decision making to optimize for success.
Support resource management and project planning across concentric teams.
Responsible for publishing business-wide dashboards tracking technical progress and budget on a project basis within the concentric innovation team.
Responsible for organizing and running monthly and quarterly program review meetings, documenting and distributing minutes and managing action items.
Accountable for preparing and updating program management document templates.
Interact through program updates and reviews with all functions and levels of management ensuring effective ongoing communications across teams and stakeholders.
Minimum requirements
Ms or phd with at least 3 years of experience in a relevant life sciences field.
At least three years experience in biotech project management.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple simultaneous projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience with schedule maintenance & reporting using pm software (microsoft project, smartsheets, wrike, jira/confluence, asana, or trello).
Experience in resource management in a matrixed organization.
Superb communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey project plans and complex technical details to a wide range of internal teams, executive leadership, and external customers.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and pivot as needed in a fast-paced environment.
Cooperative, team-oriented attitude.
Solid organizational skills including high attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Preferred capabilities and experience
Direct experience with sars-cov-2 or other infectious disease response
Formal project management training is a plus
