The manager, loss recovery will be responsible for managing the daily activities related to reviewing / auditing defaulted loans to determine opportunities to recover losses from prior servicers, msr sellers, and correspondent lenders stemming from origination and servicing deficienciesThe manager will be responsible for ensuring all transferred loans into the company comply with investor and insurer requirements and recover losses when applicableThe manager will provide detailed reporting on a recurring basis and coordinate process improvement / loss identification opportunities with applicable servicing teamsThe manager, loss recovery will be responsible for reducing risk and loss facilitating early identification of risks and working with the applicable servicing teams to mitigate losses and protect freedom`s ability to recover losses from the applicable entity selling the loans to freedom.
Ensure timely and accurate loss recovery reviews on defaulted loans are conducted based on established and updated selection criteria
Act as a central point of contact for managing loans with loss exposure
Manage recurring reporting and communication of actions necessary to protect freedom`s interest in its msr purchases
Keeps abreast of default servicing industry trends, challenges and best practices and serves as subject matter expert to make recommendations to operations managers
Create resolutions which will enable freedom mortgage to reduce risk and losses
Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or universityTen (10) years of mortgage default servicing operations experience and seven (7) years supervisory/management experience requiredHave a combination of education and experience with knowledge of property claims, preservation, reo and analytics, strong compliance knowledge, knowledge of data analysis and improvement tools.
