Full job description
Principal responsibilities
*
Deliver complete and accurate electrical engineering project documents according to applicable building code and f&a standards within the allocated period, monetary budget, and project constraints
Perform a review of all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
Review all drawings to ensure technical accuracy and continuity prior to signing and sealing documents for permit submission
Sign and seal all electrical engineering documents
Oversight, training, and coordination of engineering staff
Provide good client relations and management
Maintain an orderly project design folder, and documentation for permanent record files per f&a file management system
Coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
Documenting design decisions, meetings, and instructions from clients promptly while monitoring project design progress.
Research resources for commercially available equipment.
Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the lead engineer or project manager.
Assist with creating project checklists to ensure standards are being met
Other duties assigned by the employer.

Perform electrical engineering calculations
Perform equipment selections
Prepare technical reports
Perform site visits and punch walks
Direct and supervise day-to-day revit modeling
Identify and implement modeling and design improvements
Update and maintain daily time sheet
Skills
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision building technical plans and drawings
Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, and their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics.
Skilled in the use of revit mep, cad software, bluebeam, dialux, microsoft office
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written english with individuals or groups
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Professional engineer license in florida.
Minimum of five years of qualifying experience.
