You will serve as an it specialist (sysadmin/sysanalysis) in the joint mission operations ctr (jmoc) hi, office of the commander of us fleet cyber command.
You will plan and coordinate the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
You will analyze, monitor, report, and resolve emergent and systemic technical issues of the computer network.
You will coordinate with systems developers and network specialists to modify or enhance systemsConfigurations or other system components.
You will identify corrective or preventative procedures to rectify immediate problems and initiate corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
You will analyze acquisition initiatives and prepares technical specifications, capability requests and other system documentation to obtain procurement approvals from higher authorities.
You will develop proposals to enhance operational use of systems hardware and software and keeps abreast of technological advances to ensure continued optimum service for customer requirements.
You will serve as project manager for systems administration-related enhancements to the it infrastructure to oversee plans of action and milestones (poa and ms) for projects that require long-term effort and coordination of various teams.

Administering system accounts and maintaining server and systems hardware and software configuration to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the computer network systems.
Managing server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and performing systems monitoring to ensure it system functionality.
Applying advanced it principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to design, configure, operate and administer information and network systems critical to the development and testing of cyber capabilities used to protect, detect and mitigate it and cyberspace vulnerabilities.
Applying data center management principles, concepts, and methods in a majority of it specialties such as: policy and planning, enterprise services support, cyber security, systems analysis, applications software, operating systems, network services, data management, configuration management, continuity of operations (coop) requirements, and service desk operations/customer support.
Utilizing information technology support that includes the development, coordination, implementation, execution, maintenance, and monitoring of enterprise computing systems to ensure full operations of systems.
Developing technical solutions for systems upgrading and survivability by utilizing the architecture of the system to make recommendations for leadership regarding systems administration.
Selecting and applying open source software assets commonly used by dod and the federal government in classified and unclassified networks, such as unix/linux/windows operating systems, c++ and python applications.
