The team: credit and collections team ensures adequate cash flow for the organisation, reducing aged debt and dsoCoordinates with all internal business stakeholders to resolve disputes / invoicing issues to ensure payments against invoices are collected on timeResponsibilities:
Evaluation of the financial statements of customers to determine their creditworthiness and accordingly assigning appropriate credit limits.
Analysis of liquidity ratios, cash-flow, and net worth to ascertain the financial strength of the customers to review & enhance the credit limit as per requirement.
Provide recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk
Ensure regular review of region’s ledger to identify slow paying customers or any trends that need to improve
Investigation of customer financial credit risk, assessing credit history and country scenarios
Perioding review of customer portfolio, documenting analysis and reassess the credit worthiness / credit limit
Having conference call with the internal business partners regarding degradation of customer credit worthiness
Partnering with sales/collections/billing deptsFor free flow of information
Monthly & quarterly newsletters to call out entire portfolio analysis
Develop and prepare models to support credit analysis of new and existing customers
Maintain the platform / credit tool and super user for credit assessment tool
Liaise with credit agencies for regular alerts and news on industry trends
Implement process improvements to improve cash flow and minimize outstanding receivables to include system enhancements and implementation.
Generate management reports on time and circulate accurately
Participate in devising strategies for reduction of dso/past due/disputes
