Job summary: acts as a key leader in the development and execution of software quality methods and processesTypically responsible for tests, methods, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance standards1Develop, execute, and document software/hardware/firmware test plans using both automated and manual testing to ensure products meet design specifications2Assist with transforming manual test documentation into automated test scripts 3Present progress and results of automated testing efforts to appropriate teams4Continuously improve upon the productivity and efficiency of our testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques5Setup/configure/maintain automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting6Coach, mentor, and support other software quality engineersCommunicate effectively, manage conflict amongst team members, and remove impediments7Stay current on new technologies and best practices as appropriate 8Be able to test both ui centric applications as well as back-end services 9Troubleshoot issues down to the root cause and provide detailed bug reports
Duties/ responsibilities
Develop, execute, and document software/hardware/firmware test plans using both automated and manual testing to ensure products meet design specifications
Assist with transforming manual test documentation into automated test scripts.
Present progress and results of automated testing efforts to appropriate teams.
Continuously improve upon the productivity and efficiency of our testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques.
Setup/configure/maintain automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting
Coach, mentor, and support other software quality engineersCommunicate effectively, manage conflict amongst team members, and remove impediments (put at the end of all)
Stay current on new technologies and best practices as appropriate
Be able to test both ui centric applications as well as back-end services
Troubleshoot issues to the root cause and provide detailed bug reports
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experienceFive (5) equivalent work experience in computer support or information technology environmentA related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
This position will be domiciled in collierville, tn.
The ability to work remotely within the united states may be available based on business need.
Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
