The it helpdesk technician position is an advanced position that installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to hardware and software systemsProvide technical advice and support to all internal users for a real estate investment and property management firm.
You will report directly to the network managerThis person will be responsible for new laptop configurations, new hire setups, terminations, inventory, handling the day- to-day issues that come up for our users, along with responsibility for maintaining our help deskMost users are based in hq in nyc, but we have some remote offices and users throughout the country and are growing rapidly.
In this role, you will:
Identify and procure the hardware needed to satisfy user requirements.
Setup and deploy end user hardware (laptops, desktops, workstations, etc.)
Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, and printers.
Assist in resolving microsoft office issues
Administer the setup of new users in ad, exchange, egnyte, lastpass, etc.
Assist in terminating users.
Set up and deploy mobile devices
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware problems.
Monitor and validate data backup processes and escalate issues in a timely fashion
Provide telephone, in-person, and remote support
Monitor and administer helpdesk tickets, triage and maintain helpdesk ticket queue
Monitor and respond to it system issues
Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
An ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 5 years help desk/call center/it experience in a multi-location windows client-server environment
Ms windows operating systems and compatible hardware
Experience with integrating ipads in a windows / office 365 environment
Iphone deployment background
Microsoft office suite support experience(outlook, word, excel, powerpoint, visio)
Office 365 admin experience
Computer peripherals such as printers, scanners, wired and wireless network cards and media devices
Wireless clients and stand-alone access points
Understanding of basic networking concepts (tcp/ip properties)
Proficiency in:watchguard firewalls and cloud solutions (office365, azure)
Experience administering windows server active directory and group policy
Understand intermediate networking concepts (tcp/ip subnets, dns, smtp, routing)
Experience with desktop/laptop imaging methodologies
