Role/department description: the enterprise analytics team at factset provides actionable insights based on consistent, trusted data through a robust framework of analysis, infrastructure, and visualizationsOur vision is to empower the workforce to make informed decisions that drive value, growth, and efficiency throughout the enterpriseWe are currently looking for a full time machine learning engineer who will be able to understand and analyze the usage of factset’s product offeringThe successful candidate will apply statistics to data, as well as design, develop and maintain machine learning models to be used for information retrieval and predictive analytics within factset’s enterprise environmentResponsibilities:
Use statistical, machine learning and ai techniques to create the next generation analytics of products and support systems.
Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation.
Solid foundation in natural language processing, machine learning and deep learning.
Work closely with team of scientists and data engineers to drive real-time model implementations.
A desire to work in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment with a strong “learn and be curious” attitude.
Influence the team for right design and technology implementation and provide future architectural direction.
Strong communication skills with both business and technical teams.
Provide production support with occasional after-hours availability.
Advanced degree in math, economics, machine learning, computer science or a related discipline to come up with ideal solutions for challenging problems.
Excellent statistical analysis skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be comfortable communicating with engineers as well as senior business leaders.
10+ years of experience as a senior data scientist or ml engineer in ml domain with proven expertise in at least one database technology such as postgresql or azure synapse.
Strong coding proficiency in python and experience using scikit-learn, numpy, pandas and other python libraries.
Experience with at least one of the ai libraries such as tensorflow, keras or pytorch.
Experience using modern approaches to nlp such as bert or gpt.
Experience with at least one of the ml frameworks such as azure databricks machine learning, azure synapse analytics etc.
Hands on experience in time series forecasting utilizing both traditional and modern ai approaches.
Experience developing and supporting machine learning production systems.
Excellent sql skills and working with extremely large and complex datasets in a distributed database environment.
Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
