The flexe operations team is looking for a lead logistics analyst to join our departmentThis team works with customers that have enlisted flexe to help them supplement or outsource their fulfillment operations for ecommerce and retail distributionWe provide software and logistics support to enable efficient and high-quality execution from our warehouses on behalf of our customersAn ideal candidate is knowledgeable about the inner workings of supply chain and warehousing, but also comfortable coaching and communicating with customers and team members at all levels, and has a solution oriented mindset.
As a lead logistics analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations for large and highly complex accounts, being an expert user of the flexe oms/wms platform, and recommending process and product improvements, while supporting your manager in coaching & up-leveling the skills on your team as the second in seniorityAs a start-up experiencing exponential growth, efficiency and scalability of work practices at flexe is criticalYou will propose and be assigned process improvement project initiatives to help increase productivity and efficiency on behalf of the entire teamAs a senior member of the team, you may be asked to cover for your manager if they are unavailable to support more junior team members or resolve issuesYou will be accountable for organizing multiple individuals to support complex projects internally and externallyYou will become proficient in order management and warehouse management functions using the flexe platform, regularly supporting software demos for internal and external teammates, and training and mentoring more junior team members on supply chain best practices.
Manage day to day communication with warehouse operators and clients for large and highly complex accounts across multiple sites and time zones.
Facilitate operational conversations related to warehousing and order fulfillment and collaborate with leadership from other internal teams.
Identify and support creation of new kpis based on client or project specific needs.
Ability to research and identify issues within an unfamiliar project in support of teammates using industry knowledge, flexe know-how, and understanding of best practices.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives internally to improve the efficiency and quality of the operations team.
Act as a resource and mentor to more junior team members and lead team members.
Partner with learning and business systems teams to support new feature training and adoption.
Monitor sla adherence across the team, create and execute on action/improvement plans, and provide mentorship and guidance to the team on continuous improvement.
Advocate internally for operational excellence based on review of paper plans (scope and solution files) to identify gaps or risks that need to be accounted for during launch.
5+ years of experience with the operations, customer service, or management of a warehouse required.
Attitude of collaboration with both internal & external partners, and a strong solutions-oriented mindset.
Demonstrated understanding of warehouse operational plans (pick/ship volume, labor plans, forecasting).
Familiarity with project phases to bring a new warehouse site online, and proven participation in launch of a new site required.
Has developed project management skills and can manage task delivery across multiple resources and teams.
Team lead/supervisory experience or demonstrated examples of having trained, mentored, and led more junior team members is preferred.
Experience working in microsoft office programs, g suite, and warehouse management systems; willingness and ability to learn new softwares as needed.
A demonstrated ability to create, publish, and administer sops, record training videos.
A demonstrated ability to create, publish, and administer performance improvement plans to a warehouse partner.
Strong communication ability regarding conflict and conflict resolution.
Experience preparing users for new software rollouts including participating in uat preferred.
An understanding (flow structure, how to do an inquiry) of sql with regards to databases and reporting is strongly valued.
Up to 25% travel can be expected, typically in 2-3 day stints, as needed for client & team support.
Able to participate in on-call rotation to cover operational emergencies (typically 1 week on-call per quarter).
