As an associate, you will collaborate with business, reporting, and other teams to understand business requirements and perform data qualityShould have an excellent attention to detail and be thorough as they will spend most of their time identifying and documenting bugsThey should also be great at teamworkThe power of qa lies in the orchestration of a team to identify all the bugs in a software or application release, and it certainly is not a job that can be completed aloneYou will work with back end data teams to construct data objects necessary for supporting business scenarios for various testing processAdditionally, you will:
Analysis of requirements, preparing a query list based on those requirements.
Writing and executing test cases to detect usability and performance issues.
Execute ssis jobs in testing enviornment to understand the flow of data , supporting and trouble-shooting existing etl processes using ssis.
Ability to analyse data and carry out the validation between the source and reporting output.
Analyse and create sql queries for validating the data flow between the staging and views.
Coordinate with development team on new and evolving sources of data used in reporting, transaction processing and analytics.
Perform extensive and detailed defect analysis with the positive and negative scenarios .
Participate in code deployment and carry out the quick sanity check after deployment completion.
Take on end-to-end ownership and perform different roles within analysis and testing phases
Develop test procedures and other quality documentation: test plans, test cases, and status reports for management
Run performance tests (load, stress, spike tests, etc.) to check how the software works in extreme conditions
Participate in the technical review process contributing behavioural viewpoint.
Monitor the effectiveness of testing, provide mentoring and suggestions to improve testing practices
Desired experience:
More than 1 years of experience as a qa analyst with exposure on all software testing life cycle.
More than 1 years of experience with sql server 2005/2008/2012 t-sql coding
More than 1 years of working knowledge in visualization tools like power bi
Working knowledge in ms excel macros, vb illustrations will be added advantage
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Desired skillset:
Proficient in sql,etl/ ssis, power bi
Ability to understand existing sql code to determine business logic and create source-to-target mapping documents
A creative mindset – and the ability to approach a problem creatively
Ability to read and interpret complex reports and documents
Desired soft skills:
Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and facilitate discussions within team
Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas as required
Planning skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments
