Eaton’s electrical sector is currently seeking a senior project engineer - distributed generation to join our teamThis position is based in westerville, oh.
Position overview:
The purpose of this position is to provide engineering design services instrumental in the development of distributed generation systemsThis position is to provide detailed engineering and design of power systems and develop design and construction packages.the senior project engineer is responsible for managing design deliverables to maintain project schedule, design budget, design accuracy, and submittal completeness working in concert with designersThis position is charged with value added engineering of team designs to provide a quality product while driving efficienciesThe person in this role shall act as a single point of contact to project manager for design technical assistanceOther tasks that the this role will take part in include scope development, estimating, and subcontractor bid leveling.

Power system studies
Single lines drawings
General arrangement drawings
Elevation drawings
Three-line drawings
Schematics
Wiring diagrams interconnection diagrams
Conduit/cable plans
Lighting plans/drawings
Lightning protection plans/drawings
Control power drawings
Grounding drawings/details
Grading plans
Foundation layouts
Foundation plans/details
Equipment testing procedure
Commissioning plans
Commissioning support
As-built drawings
Qualifications
Required (basic) qualifications:
Bs in engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum of seven (7) years of design/construction experience
Legally authorized to work in the us without company sponsorship
Must reside wthin a 50-mile radius of the work locations listed as no relocation is being offered for this position.
Preferred qualifications:
Professional engineer qualification
Bs in electrical engineering
Working knowledge of nerc/ferc, nesc, nec, ansi, neta
Ieee 1547 (interconnection standard)
Pmp certification
Position criteria:
Successfully complete and maintain compliance with eaton`s safety program and policies
Periodically submit to customer required background & drug screens prior to on-site work
Familiarity with power system engineering calculations
Experience with autocad and/or microstation
