Dis is looking for a strategic communications project manager capable of leading federal government contracts in the health, benefits and/or information technology spaceThe successful candidate will also provide advice and consultation to senior-level officials regarding communications programs and initiatives focused on women`s healthAs part of a larger strategic communication and integrated marketing practice, the candidate will help dis` clients with support for the creation of multimedia materials, education, and outreach products, all directed toward the health care of women veterans.

Working collaboratively with project staff, the project manager will provide project leadership and support for providing creative and innovative services for planning, facilitation, communications, and conference support of health care services and programs for women veterans
Interface with senior executive- level clients to coordinate and manage expectations for deliverables, statement of work, and scope.
Manage nationwide internal and external communications campaigns focused on health and culture change topics.
Manage project teams of communication analysts, graphic designers, writers, website and sharepoint experts, conference management staff and video producers
Lead development of materials such as communication plans, fact sheets, faq sheets, brochures, website content, sharepoint content, executive-level talking points and scripts, newsletters, social media messages to support campaigns and videos
Coordinate, track, monitor, and evaluate communications and marketing activities including concurrence and review processes for all deliverables
Coordinate and lead meetings with clients
Generate creative and original ideas for reaching and engaging target audiences and communicating key messages
Respond to, review or support communication requests and collateral related to va women`s health issues through appropriate channels and processesCoordinate with vha communications and other important program offices.
Maintain project documentation and financials
Required experience and qualifications
Bachelor`s degree required preferably in strategic communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field
15+ years of professional experience
Experience planning, developing, managing, and implementing communications and marketing activities, including developing communications plans, strategies, messages, and tactics as part of an outreach or education campaign
Experience managing teams of people, as well as contracts and projects
Knowledge of business development and proposal writing
Exceptional knowledge of core communications/marketing best practices
Creative and analytical thinking skills
Excellent writing and conceptual skills
Strong oral communication and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with subject matter experts (smes)
Must be able to deliver on multiple projects/priorities at the same time
Strong work ethic with a commitment to client service

Ability to obtain a us government security clearance
Preferred experience & qualifications
Master`s degree or advanced certification in business administration, strategic communication, or related field
Experienced working with federal agency or public sector management consulting
Project management professional (pmp) certification
Preference will be given to qualified veteran candidates
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
