The senior manager of pr & content will be responsible for developing and executing our public relations strategy as well as overseeing our content development to increase brand awarenessThe ideal candidate is an excellent writer, communicator and strategic thinker who understands how to engage with a wide variety of audiencesWith a keen eye for editorial angles, this role can identify opportunities for content across the business, pitch them with ease (on the fly or in advance), and generate positive editorial coverage for the organization.
Job responsibilities: *
Manage pr strategy and execution including press releases, feature story development, media pitches, award programs, analyst relations, media interviews and inquiries, and executive speaker placement.
Build and maintain relationships with key reporters, editors, and analysts.
Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and smes to support pr and thought leadership efforts.
Research and stay informed on industry trends, news, and topics to proactively identify pr opportunities.
Oversee content strategy across videos, web pages, white papers, e-books, newsletters, webinars, podcasts, and our blog while continuously managing the content & pr calendar.
Develop content marketing initiatives respective to various verticals including insurance, healthcare, home services, financial services, communication service providers, and more.
Assist in internal content development including faqs and talking points for our sales and client success teams.
Prepare and deliver pr performance metrics to leadership team.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, pr, journalism, or related field.
7+ years of experience executing external and internal communications programs.
1-2 years of experience managing direct reports.
Advanced writing, verbal communications, presentation, and project management skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
Experience with cision, meltwater or other related media service provider required.
Expert using business wire or pr newswire.
Strategic yet creative thinker, self-starter, and team player willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
