Overview: aceinfo is currently seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented troubleshooter for a system specialist position, in fort collins, coloradoRemote options available!
The candidate is responsible for providing tier 3 support for an enterprise application, assisting with geospatial data updates, and fixing/testing enhancements/bug fixes prior to releaseThe candidate should exhibit excellent problem solving and data analysis skills, as well as a proven ability to work independentlyThe candidate will focus on end user support, data validation/loading, and testing of the applicationIt is essential that this candidate have exceptional communication skills and be flexible with technology, environment and prioritiesOn call after hours and weekend support is required on a rotating basis.
Duties & responsibilities:
Critically analyze and triage incidents and problems
Provide clear and timely resolutions to the customer
System administration tasks such as applying middleware patches, restarting services, deploying code updates, and other maintenance tasks
Work with team members to validate system/data changes
Work with tier 1 and 2 support to ensure cases are submitted, tracked and resolved in a timely fashion
Update knowledge base to ensure procedures and known fixes are current
Gather and supply feedback from customers in a useable format to product teams
Participate in regular status calls and quarterly business reviews
Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience
Experience working with or as a service/help desk engineer in large organizations
General understanding of web technologies
General understanding of networking, monitoring and system health
Proven analytical/problem solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to create concise technical documentation
Highly organized and flexible with demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks across concurrent projects, and meet deadlines.
Working knowledge in windows and linux environments.
Experience with gis data and tools such as arcmap or arcgis pro
Familiar with jira or similar issue tracking system
Familiar with secure software development practices
Knowledge and experience with it system administration in a government environment.
