** hybrid role / flexible schedule that will allow you to split your time between working from home, the facility, and the field**
This is a unique opportunity offering partial remote, on location, as well as in the field workSupport a book resale company acquiring inventory from various locations as well as placing book bins throughout the communitiesPartner with retailers to promote book redistribution through bin placement for our for-profit businessPosition requires ability to close bin placements as well as manage and modify driver routes for new pickups as bins are placedUnique opportunity to be in the field as well as cold-call from home to optimize bin placement strategiesDepending on volumes acquired, we also partner locally in the community to give back to promote early reading, and get books in the hands of those that need themSales experience critical, and willingness to work with drivers required.
Role and responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
Oversee a team of drivers and all aspects of the market
Attend weekly management meetings
Determine the best strategies for collecting high quality books in large quantities from target areas
Identify, establish, & maintain additional supply relationships
Perform community outreach
Partner with local non-profits or charities to establish donation relationships
Obtain referrals for supply from existing suppliers & stakeholders
Act as point-of-contact for book & bin inquiries, questions, and concerns
Conduct some outside sales (b2b)
Manage assets & assign driver daily routes
Manage invoices, orders, reports, inventory, etc.
Qualifications and education requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in sales and/or marketing
Ability to speak both english and spanish is preferred.
At least 2 years of management experience
Extensive knowledge of customer service procedures and principles
Must be willing to travel within a 200-300-mile radius of the facility to obtain new bin locations, build new relationships with libraries & thrift stores to purchase material, and follow up with current clients
Computer savvy; efficient in microsoft excel, word, and powerpoint
Strong communication & negotiation skills, verbal and written
Organized with attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills
Self-starter – must be able to work efficiently with little to no supervision
