Position summary:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a lead financial analyst to join our growing finance organization! in this role, you will provide comprehensive fp&a support for global facilities, eh&s and capital expenses.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Drive improvements across capital expense processes including training, tracking and providing actionable intelligence to business partners and finance leadership
Own fp&a budget and forecast activities for expenses, headcount, and capital projects
Collaborate cross-functionally with global site leadership on future projects and operations
Maintain rollforward of capital spend and depreciation expense comparisons to budget, forecasts and forward-looking projections
Review and approve project scope of work, cost and schedule to ensure budget alignment and drive analytical conversations and purposes of projects
Verify agreements align with department objectives, identify potential cost savings and recommend financial offsets to remain budget neutral
Closely track and analyze risks and opportunities, including project timelines and cost implications
Act as liaison between facilities and finance for all contract, po and billing matters
Prepare monthly reporting packages that include detailed actual vsForecast variances and latest best estimates for forward projections
Prepare presentations for business reviews and ad-hoc report outs for executive leadership and steering committees
Required qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree in a related field of study, mba or advanced degree a plus
Experience working as a finance business partner, with ideally 8+ years of total relevant experience in corporate finance, accounting or regional financial planning & analysis
Good communication skills and comfortable working with upper levels of management
Proficient in all microsoft applications especially in excel (pivot tables, vlookup, filters)
Team player who can work with cross-functional teams to create lasting change and process improvements, and able to work productively in areas of ambiguity to drive clarity and understanding
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries
Experience working with large scale erp systems, hyperion, potentially with international locations
Experience driving performance improvement by leading cross-functional programs & initiatives
