General summary
The data science analyst works within a team environment to actively assist in providing business analytics across mp&a and merchandising, receiving direction and guidance from leadershipAnalyst performs predictive analytics and statistical analysis to drive innovation, optimize, inform business decision making and deliver data driven insight.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Support development of working algorithms and models to solve complex business problems
Extract key insights and summarize outcome of complex analysis and mathematical models
Solve highly technical and complex business problems using predictive modeling, simulation, optimization and/or drive efforts to bring resolution
Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Innovate and provide perspective and recommendations on business opportunities and risks
Perform data mining techniques to obtain, organize and validate large amounts of data for use in analysis projects (exExtract, cleanse, segment) from multiple key sources (rdbms, big data storage, …)
Conduct statistical analysis to support and drive business decisions (exClustering, time series analysis, correlation analysis)
Leverage automation tools to create efficiencies and scalable and repeatable data processing
Required skills:
Progressive thinker and problem solver with a strong ability to manage ambiguity/complexity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work effectively in teams as well as independently
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience in analytical role
Expertise in microsoft office
Expertise with r and/or python for statistical modeling and machine learning
Experience managing complex data sets leveraging sql developer, google cloud platform, bigquery and mysql
Experience summarizing and visualizing advanced analysis through tableau, microstrategy, and r
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, operation research, computer science, or other quantitative/statistical discipline
Education:
