Specific skill set required
1 – 3 years
The key job responsibilities include the following:
Demonstrating a working understanding of quality assurance and/or software development processes and methodologies, with the ability to share that knowledge with peers and project team members
Work with developers, onsite project lead, business analyst to understand technology, business strategy and their implication for solutions
Responsible for the execution of test scenarios in support of the test team.
Should be able to work on a project independently with minimal inputs from test or development lead
Familiarize themselves with the business functionality and technology used for assigned applications (under test)
Work closely with on-site team towards successful test phases
Should be able to provide the test updates as part of daily stand up calls
Should be able to bring up the risks effectively if any from qa team standpoint
Work with team to isolate conditions for repeating found bugs and verifying fixed bugs
Ensure the quality and low bug rates of code released into production
Responsible for successful execution and alerting team leads and managers of obstacles, issues and risks
Responsible for coordinating/engaging build movements to the qa environment as directed by team lead
Effectively implement and utilize test method tools in a timely manner consistent with project deadlines
Demonstrates a working understanding of the defect and change management process
Able discuss status of all open issues facing the test team and describes actions taken to mitigate such issues
Prepare reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities
Interact with onsite sd (canada) analysts and project managers to understand business needs
Interact with india sd offshore manager/test lead for project coordination, ensure process standardization and alignment with onsite sd counterparts
The key skills required
General skills and qualifications
A computer science university degree or equivalent work experience
A strong commitment to professional client service excellence
Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
Good verbal and written communications skills
Excellent analytical skill
Demonstrated project management capabilitiesThe ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Technical skills and qualifications
Demonstrates a strong understanding of web testing techniques
1+ years experience in software quality
Demonstrates a working understanding of microsoft tools like tfs for bug tracking
Demonstrates a working understanding of software and web technologies, including java script, html5,css3, .net,sharepoint for applications, angular js, sql, xml etc
Experience with microsoft tools is highly desired : office - ms excel, ms project planner, ms word, ms powerpoint, ms outlook
Understanding of the software development life cycle and testing life cycle
Understanding on agile/scrum framework
Understadning on defect life cycle and should be able to perform defect root-cause analysis
Should be able to proactively denfity the risks while working on a project and able to effectively bring in to project teams
Solid analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to apply new domains
1+ years experience using sql, pl/sql, tsql or ansi sql
Understands enterprise wide networks and software implementations.
Should have an understanding on .any one of the technologies/tools (.net ,sharepoint ,siebel, servicenow,bi)
Understanding on continuous integration testing and experience on any of the dev ops tools are nice to have skiils
Working experience on selenium automation tool is a plus.
Should be able to understand automation frameworks and support test executions
Understanding on any of the automation tools like uft and selenium will be a nice to have skill.
11 am – 8.00 pm
