Full job description
Reporting to the director engineering you will work with procurement, supply chain engineering, operations, and preferred steam specialties, boilers, compressed air, wastewater and hot water set equipment vendors to develop strategies to reduce cost, maximize equipment performance, and ensure preservation of conagra capital equipmentYou will:
Develop programs focused on improving utility system capacity, capability, sustainability, and control while generally reducing total delivered costs.
Provide technical feasibility for the application to various groups within the organization.
Work with platform engineering leadership to develop annual and 3 year capital plans by recommending energy/utility system improvements and solutions that are proven in both concept and performanceDevelop front-end-loading packages (fel`s) and technical briefs
Infrastructure technology assessment and recommended solutions best in class practicesThese include the following systems and equipment’s, steam and condensate, compressed air, air dryers, boilers, and waste-water treatment
Work with the engineering project manager to develop preliminary capital/ expense estimates and schedulePrimary equipment / system performance criteria
Identify alternatives, pre-requisites, risks, and opportunities
Review submitted fel-1 or tech brief packages that are developed by third-party engineering partners for accuracy, completeness, and operational effectiveness
Participate in design reviews to ensure the proper implementation of utility technical solutions and codes through the execution phase
You have:
Bs degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering
3+ years in the design and operation of plant utility systems that may include applications such as steam and condensate systems, compressed air systems, hot water sets and wastewater treatment
Experience in thermal recovery or reducing energy usage from utility and process systems
Engineering design and operation experience in utility systems and equipment: steam, compressed air, boilers, air compressors, hot water sets including wastewater
Willing to travel 50%
