The gic financial analyst will lead all technical aspects of small to medium-scale projects from functional design through implementation for columbia sportswear’s global accounting to include erp, edi, and any miscellaneous subsystems and interfacesResponsibilities include project management, requirement gathering, analysis, software design, testing, documentation, training, and implementation support
Essential functions/responsibilities:
Applies advanced knowledge of accounting processes and systems, in-depth research, and critical thinking to drive projects.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into details
Identifies and solves complex technical accounting problems by providing configuration and integration design expertise for columbia’s erp, edi, and various partner interfaces.
Manages small to medium-scale projects and may also play a supporting analyst role on multiple simultaneous projects.
Leads functional design meetings and documents business requirements and technical specificationsWorks with external software vendors to turn specifications into software solutions.
Prepares project plans and testing schedulesCoordinates testing activities and works closely with internal business groups and outside third-party vendors to ensure the successful implementation of new processes and systems.
Develops and executes thorough unit and system testing scenarios and documentation.
Leads and/or participates in the end-to-end testing of erp, edi and third party interfaces for accountingAssists in developing integrated test scripts, preparing test materials, executing integrated testing and documenting the results.
Documents operating procedures and technical support material for affected areas of the businessPrepares detailed, step-by-step procedures for each process and updates procedures as processes evolve.
Designs, develops and delivers training as determined by the project requirements.
Production support of current system as scheduled or as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Maintains positive, open lines of communication with all columbia sportswear management, staff, and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.

Minimum educational/experience requirements
Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in computer science and information systems and finance or accounting preferred
5+ years’ experience in a role of financial analyst
Experience in agile and project management.
Knowledge of accounting systems like sap, full circle , winshuttle , ariba , infor nexus & d 365 a plus
Should have experience in developing macros and power bi reports

Good time management skills to accomplish challenging objectives and manage a diverse workload

Job conditions:
Work hours will exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during peak season or project rush.
Evening meetings and/or weekend work occasionally required to collaborate with people in other time zones and to ensure timely project completion.
Job pressure exists in the balancing of several projects with conflicting and sometimes changing deadlines.
Exposure to a computer crt.
Job involves repetitive hand/wrist movements, type, sit or stand for extended periods of time, use of computer hardware/software including keyboard and mouse.
