Mission
Under direction of the director of equipment terminals, the equipment field engineer will be responsible for assisting with tracking capital expenditures, project design, budgeting, as well as terminal and emulsion plant mechanical troubleshooting assistanceThis person will also interact with subsidiaries’ equipment managers and operations managers to support their needsThis position requires travel on a frequent basis up to 75% of the timeThere is potential for relocation to a centralized location within the usa.
Main responsibilities
Track large industrial projects from inception to completion in cooperation with the subsidiary personnel
Regularly do field visits to track progress and understand the projects.
Assist and lead the research of low carbon equipment and energy solutions within the market.
Assist director of equipment terminals in all administrative tasks.
Correspond with colas sa regarding standards and best practices related to equipment design and construction.
Education & qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, business management, finance, accounting, or related field required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment management preferred.
At least 3 years of experience within industrial and electrical industry preferred.
Experience in asphalt terminal/emulsion plant design and operation preferred.
Must have working knowledge of pumps, piping, steam boilers, hot oil heaters, petroleum and chemical storage tanks and other related industrial setting.
Working knowledge of liquid, polymer modified and emulsified asphalt products required.
Skills
Must have strong analytical skills.
Must have good engineering mindset and approach.
Able to perform complex tasks; participate and facilitate in group settings.
Must be a self-starter and results oriented.
Must be able to translate performance of business from various data sources.
Must be able to work with a variety of professionals from various levels in the organization and outside vendors
Must possess excellent skills with microsoft windows suite software (particularly powerbi, outlook, excel, word, and powerpoint).
Preferred working knowledge with cadd and 3d scanning.
