Provider relations manager – group medicare provider liaison and services manager
Location: remote- work at home
This position is a high functioning role with management and strategic planning responsibilities for all group medicare marketsThey will partner and collaborate with commercial/us medical provider solutions teams to share information and implement solutionsThis role is accountable for the provider experience by working in collaboration with matrix partners to drive a culture of service excellenceThey are responsible for the development and execution of strategic planning solutions that drive provider, customer, client, and product successThis role actively participates in national market planning discussions to strengthen cigna’s strategic positioning, provides input on progress, and makes recommendations for improving provider experience outcomes.
Accountable for the overall provider experience by working in collaboration with matrix partners to drive on-going service improvements, understand, articulate and resolve service impacts, and drive the overall provider strategic planning solutions.
Develop a comprehensive end-to-end tracking methodology for outbound provider calls that can be shared with operations, network, contracting, and sales leadership teams.
Create, maintain, and present reporting based on the outcomes of provider communicationsThis reporting will span multiple teams and will be presented across a highly matrixed environment of key stakeholders.
Lead a team of external facing provider relations analysts, responsible for monitoring productivity, adherence to key education/talking points, and critical tracking/documentation needs.
Develop and manage relationships with network operations and provider contracting partners to ensure effective two-way communication between organizations around long and short term strategy, key findings/feedback, and relevant next steps.
Partner with customer and provider service teams, share information, collect data, and ensure teams are effectively educating providers and adhering to best practices.
Implement innovative and forward thinking practices and procedures to increase oversight, streamline processes, maximize efficiency, and improve the customer, provider, and client experience.
Inform market strategy for a cohesive end-to-end provider experience based on provider insights.
Develop and participate in presentations to existing and prospective providers and/or clients.
Collaborate with provider communications teams on internal and external communication needs.
Proactively identify new operational and technology opportunities and risks for providers at market or national level and drive resolution.
Bachelor’s degree or 5-7 years of experience in healthcare environment required.
4+ years in health care service delivery, network development/contract management, and/or provider relations role.
Proven leadership skills.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive results in uncertain and/or ambiguous environments.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Flexibility to change course based on business needs.
Persuasive, collaborative business acumenAbility to drive business partners and influence others.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, negotiation skills.
Self-motivated learner with ability to learn on the fly.
Experience building strong, positive relationships with providers.
Problem solving skills including the ability to systematically analyze complex issues.
Proficiency in ms office required.
