The analyst will work on the company’s dynamic seniors housing operating portfolio (shop)The position will help the shop team optimize growth strategies by providing accurate, insightful, and timely performance and market analysis to support the proactive oversight of the portfolioThe position will be hybrid in the washington dc metro area or remote based in the pacific northwest or in chicago.
Responsibilities:
Support the svp in the strategic evaluation (e.g., property swot analyses, competitive analyses, labor solutions), growth strategy implementation and execution of portfolio transactions including capital investments, restructurings, dispositions, etc.
Review and analyze operator financials for key takeaways and performance rationale
Ability to interpret and administer management agreements
Build and establish relationships with counterparts at our operating partners
Conduct monthly performance review calls with operators and play an active role in strengthening existing strategic relationships
Analyze macroeconomic, seniors housing industry and operator data to produce insightful analyses that drive strategic decision-making
Conduct healthcare industry, regulatory, and market activity research
Prepare proactive and ad-hoc portfolio analyses, reports, and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders
Collaborate with capital markets teams on a variety of transactions including acquisitions, mortgage restructurings, redevelopments, etc.
Assist with capital expenditure processes including strategic planning, annual budget approval, ongoing monitoring, quarterly reforecasts and supplemental reporting
Qualifications:
Ba or bs degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, real estate, healthcare administration or related field
Ideal candidate will have 2-4 years` experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare industry, corporate strategy or finance
Familiarity with financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flows)
Experience analyzing data from multiple sources and effectively communicating key findings
Detail oriented, ability to operate with a very high level of accuracy
Ability to work with many deadlines, time requirement conflicts, management pressures and ambiguity, within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong written communication skills; solid presentation and speaking skills
