If you’re an ambitious individual with communications and / or marketing experience and you’d like to build a rewarding career with the foundation, then we want to speak with youWe are looking for an energetic and self-motivated communications and marketing team member to support our growing communications needs and support awareness of copd, the foundation, and its programsYour work will include public/media relations, writing, editing media releases, web and ad copy, and creating marketing and communications campaigns, videos, posts, and graphics for social media, the foundation website, emails, and other channelsAdditionally, the ideal candidate will have experience with strategic communications project management, promotion/management of webinars and facebook live events, and the ability to report on channels, activities, and results.
In addition to being an excellent communicator and writer with creative experience, you should have solid organizational abilitiesThe successful candidate will know marketing techniques and social media platforms for business.
Work with the srDirector of communications & marketing to build a robust weekly/monthly editorial calendar that highlights awareness, authority-building, education, and promotion of key content, events, programs, and company statements.
Manage the daily social media calendar in alignment with the communications editorial calendar.
Write social media and web copy, develop visuals, edit videos, and create other assets for promotion across owned, earned, and paid channels, with approval/guidance.
Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.
Prepare detailed communications and marketing reports highlighting the department’s work to elevate awareness for the foundation and increase its audiencesMust understand social, web, and communications analytics and assimilate data into a story for presentation at all levels.
Meet with key internal team members and support their programs’ communications and promotional needs across channels.
Help with the planning and hosting of marketing or other internal virtual/social media events.
Research content themes and topics, interview experts, write and edit copy, and evaluate marketing and digital content.
Manage email platform, which includes building and sending emails, acquiring content and imagery, writing and editing, and tracking email performance, channel growth/improvements.
3 - 4 years of experience in corporate or non-profit communications and / or marketing, including 2 years in digital communications (social media, web, advertising) and 1-2 years of project management experience.
A solid understanding of the latest communications & marketing trends, tools, and techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have a passion for communications and marketing.
Outstanding organizational abilities.
Education and experience:
A degree from an accredited undergraduate program in communications, journalism, english, marketing, or similar field.
Demonstrated experience/success in marketing and communications.
Familiarity with marketing computer software and platforms, including ms word, ms outlook, ms powerpoint, ms excel, ms teams, canva, photoshop, constant contact, go-to-webinar, or similar, and a desire to learn.
Knowledge of social media platforms for posting, monitoring, growth, campaigns, and reporting.
Demonstrated excellent communications skills.
Experience creating/editing social media images, videos, and campaigns with photo/video software and posting across social aggregator tools/social sites.
