The head of business development is one of the most exciting roles at bussr - you will drop into a new city and establish the beachhead for the new marketIf you’re an entrepreneur and a hustler, this is the role for you! you should be comfortable in new environments, highly entrepreneurial, and obsessive about executionAnd you must have a deep passion for mobility.
What you will do - connect the world
You are the first and only colleague on the ground, in the country, during the first few months
You conduct due diligence, assess and analyze the market readiness for our bussr modelWe will use your input to decide on the country launch, therefore, your role is crucial to our internationalization strategy.
You estimate market potential based on all local available data and statistics, your research on the ground, and your market size calculations.
Drive revenue for bussr business in select private and public sector/government accounts and territories.
You will be responsible for building and leading a team of high-performing enterprise account executives.
You will assess what’s currently working well and what needs to be improved and work with the broader team to make such improvements.
You will optimize the sales process including opportunity planning and drive consistency across the teamYou will be working alongside the team and lead from the front.
You get energy from taking on and delivering against big targets and you always find new strategies to achieve your goalsPartnering closely with the product, marketing, and sdr teams.
You will determine how to strategically generate net new revenue and bring in new logos.
We will rely on your strong sales skills to identify and work with key stakeholders that can drive consensus across the organization and help push deals forward.
7-10+ years managing high-performance teams servicing private and government accounts.
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience managing and building a team of high-performing enterprise account executives selling enterprise applications/saas software.
Excellent master degree, or equivalent, from a top university in business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field.
Highly social, strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and comfortable interacting with different types of stakeholders (e.gGovernment officials, mobility company owners, lawyers, journalists, etc.)
You negotiate like a pro and have previous experience structuring large b2b deals
You have navigated complex sales cycles with multiple decision-makers, overcome objections, and identified value for your clients while consistently delivering on (or above) your team quota.
You know what it takes to work at a start-up and want to be part of building the business and maturing bussr along the way.
Ability to lead cross-functionally (this role will touch every piece of the organization), results orientated, bias for action (we’re a startup), presentation skills, and being strategic by nature (always thinking of the bigger picture), will be the foundational attributes that will set you up for success in this role.
