Full job description
The intranet manager is responsible for the overall content and functionality of the company intranetThat includes but is not limited to responsibility for the planning, infrastructure and standards development, training and technical coordination supporting the company intranet.
What you`ll do
Support and manage the overall intranet structure and design, including server configuration (in coordination with is), deployment scheduling, version control, and testing procedures.
Develop supportive infrastructure (e.g., standards, templates, directory structures) for content creation and distribution.
Work with the members of the web community to ensure the integrity of the information provided on all web pagesThis includes education on grammar, consistency of terminology, visual congruity, proper coding, confidentiality, and controlled information use.
Manage the web page content and layout, resulting in a user-friendly design and ease of navigation.
Work with groups who have identified content that they want to place on the intranet and help them realize their goals.
Maintain the file structure on the intranet server.
Provide consulting and support services for using the intranet web site and available web browser software.
Plan and produce training materials as needed.
Assess the need for, and arrange and/or conduct training for departmental representatives (who provide content from their departments).
Work closely with it and web application developers within the organization to ensure the continuation of a common, stable development environment for web authors.
What you`ll do (hiring requirements)
Minimum of 5 years experience managing content and technology for the web and intranet.
