Blavity incIs seeking a manager, people operations to own the day-to-day and support the overall strategy of our employee lifecycleThis is an opportunity for someone with incredible creative problem solving and organizational prowess to expand upon and scale people operations processes as the company continues to growThe ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about providing operational excellence in service of our diverse and creative employee base, approaches new challenges and tasks with solutions and a can-do attitude, and is highly skillful in navigating and addressing various stakeholder requests.
This role will report directly to the director, people operations.
Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing processes, programs, and shared services to support the people operations team, and wider blavity incOrganization
Own employee lifecycle processes including; onboarding, performance reviews, employee changes, leaves of absences, offboarding, and compliance
Oversee administrative processes such as unemployment claims, workers comp, and employment verifications
Maintain accuracy of hris by keeping all contractor and employee details up to date throughout the employee lifecycle
Manage processes for keeping people operations records organized and up-to-date, including; employee agreements, templates, compliance documents, etc.
Oversee the accurate and consistent preparation of onboarding and offboarding documents, including; employment contracts, new hire communications, termination and severance communications, etc.
Lead the people operations team in hr operational success, ensuring our leaders and employees have what they need to succeed in their roles
Help scale existing processes, growth, and innovation based on business needs
Translate legal and regulatory requirements into system or process configurations
Provide people/hr policy guidance and interpretation
Provide coaching and development for the people ops team
Ensure and maintain data integrity in our hr systems, with full accuracy
Education: required ba or phr certificate; or equivalent working experience.
Experience: 3+ years of experience working in and managing teams in human resources or people operations
Technologies: fluent in microsoft office, google suite, and asana and/or other task management softwareHris dexterity is a plus.

Preferred interests: a healthy appreciation of gifs and black culture.
Details: this is a full-time, remote position which may require attendance to ad hoc meetings out of our los angeles office.
