This role will serve as a technical resource for the procurement team and clients throughout the rfp process.
You will also nurture and maintain key professional relationships with clients, engineers of record, utilities, and subject matter experts.
You will also work with internal and external stakeholders to develop a clear and concise electrical scope of work that is supported throughout the bid proposalReview implications of changes and make recommendationsProvide insight and technology in the marketplace.
In addition, you will be encouraged to share the design philosophy with other procurement team members to create comprehensive specification documents, subcontractor rfp’s, material lists, physical layouts, and contract clarifications defining risk and opportunity.
Are you detail oriented?
In many cases, designs will need to be established based on minimal information and input from the clientThe senior estimating engineer will utilize prudent engineering practice to develop and substantiate a conceptual drawing package that is safe, reliable, and economical.
In addition, you will need to read and understand the electrical scope of projects that are in rfp/estimating phase and develop a plan/design that incorporates power quality, reliability, cost efficiency, and bei lessons learned into each proposal.
This role will also ensure that designs support safe work practices and are in compliance with all applicable safety standards including nesc, nec, and nfpa.
Position minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience
