Spr data scientist
Position purpose:
Support row crop data science focusing on descriptive and diagnosis analysis, data availability (data gathering, data quality, data access and data base management system build)Besides, implementing data projects supporting global and regional strategy in partnership with spr regional leadership team.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Support data & analytics team attending meetings, identifying business projects opportunities
Data source mapping, data gathering, data quality, data access to support data base building process;
Focus on data visualization pillar, identifying strategic way to present projects results;
Perform specific projects (descriptive analysis, bi analysis and visualization), stablishing a strong connection with team project;
Attend regional and global conferences calls to support projects identification and results presentation;
Decision analytics: understands and articulates the advantages and limitations of project data and statistical models used in seed production.
Innovation: actively learns and applies new tools eg sql, tableau, spotfireCollaborates with subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and other analysts.
Improve the current spotfire / tableau dashboards to better cater to apac requirements and obtain more insights from the data
Connect with global team for on-boarding of new global dashboardsInterns are expected to develop new tableau / spotfire dashboards to assist in workflow of apac spr.
Support regional pr scientist in analysis of trial results
Be the contact for data qaqc – apac region
Who you are:
Bs degree (or on course): science, data science, computer science, statistician or any engineering
Data analytics skills: able to perform statistic modeling and data visualization.
It is preferred that interns have basic knowledge of a programing language (eg r, sas, python, c etc)An ability to visualize data using tableau/spotfire and knowledge of sql would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
Good communication skills in english – oral, written, under diverse circumstances and audiences.
Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, results orientation.
Demonstrate potential project management skills
