Backstage has evolved into a global creative staffing platform across advertising, branded content, film, television, theater, and moreOur customers now include feature film casting directors, growth marketers at startups, creative directors at agencies, creator/influencers, actors, models, voiceover artists, camera operators, video editors, and moreWe’re looking for a product marketing rock star to position backstage’s marketplace and tools to a variety of different customer segments, and help drive growth across both sides of the platform.
Developing a deep understanding of customers, markets, and the competitive landscape through research, customer interviews, and data/analytics
Create positioning and communications strategy for each unique customer segment, across their user journey
Work with marketing, content, product, sales development and customer success teams to ensure consistent, effective, targeted communication with customers
Develop and manage product marketing content roadmap - articles/videos and case studies
Conduct customer interviews and surveys to learn about backstage customers - share learnings with product and marketing teams
Become a champion of our customers and educate backstage teams on their needs!
Skills and experience:
5+ years of experience in product marketing, product strategy or equivalent area
Strong knowledge of the advertising/branded content and creator economy ecosystem
Proven record of success working in a fast-growing company and working across different teams
Experience conducting customer and market research, and translating the research into actionable communication strategies
Experience solving complex, unstructured challenges in prior roles
Experience creating positioning and messaging campaigns to drive customer growth in marketplace, saas, consumer software/app, fin-tech, consulting or equivalent businesses
