Our navigation & sensor systems (nss) engineering organization ensures alignment of our gps, anti-jam(aj), and navigation solutions with our key customer market segments, while maximizing company and customer funding efficiencies through common development and a product line approach.
We are looking for a strong candidate in project management to help with the engineering knowledge development, organizational capabilities and processes enhancementIn this role you will:
Help develop and deploy our knowledge management onboarding & development initiatives for each of the engineering teams, including new hire onboarding, mentoring, and technical training from career start to subject matter expertise
Work closely with the nss leaders on the career development strategies needed to encourage employee engagement in learning & development
Partner with bae systems central teams (talent acquisition, engineering development, diversity, equity & inclusion, etc) to integrate the nss organization into their existing corporate programs
Work closely with the nss fellows to develop mentoring programs for junior engineers
As the nss organization continues to integrate into the bae systems digital technology system, help the current integration teams to incorporate their new training, execute communication strategies, and support and organize any workshops that might be necessary as we transition to the new system and tools
Champion utilization of additional engineering organizational level key performance indicators
Champion creation and adoption of streamlined product line processes, plans, and templates enabling faster program planning and deployment
Because this role involves a combination of independent and collaborative work, this position
Can be conducted mostly remote.
Required education, experience, & skills
Minimum 10 years of experience
Must possess or be eligible for obtaining and maintaining a u.sDod secret clearanceU.sCitizenship is requiredCandidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
Strong organizational skills and development oversight skills, inducing management of schedules, budgets and presenting to leadership
Demonstrated experience in management of large scale development projects
Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to be a self-motivated team player
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Preferred education, experience, & skills
Good knowledge of engineering processes and tools
Experience in knowledge management strategies
Experience in instructional design
Experience in alm tool suite (confluence and jira)
Experience in microsoft office tool suite
