Experience in handling unix based os’s like solaris, aix, redhat linux etc.
Hands on experience as a dns administrator with domain administration
Add/remove/modify to dns record/domains
Configure bind based dns server
Good understanding of hidden master/slave architecture
Administration experience on dns appliances like – infoblox/men and mice dns appliance
Perform dns statistics analysis and subsequent tuning to maintain a stable dns environment
Thorough understanding of network services like dhcp, snmp, syslog, ntp, ipam etc.
Good to have perl scripting / shell scripting knowledge
Itil process knowledge
Nms
Knowledge about various operating systems windows, solaris, linux etcTroubleshooting skills on network connectivity.
Good understanding about dnsSsh, dhcp, cpu utilization, disk usage.
Networking concepts with basic knowledge about router, switch and firewalls.
Experiencing on network & server snmp based monitoring tools like hpov, sevone, appcritical/appneta etc.
Packet capture tools like wireshark, tcpdump
Experience on config management tools like ciscoworks, voyence.
Knowledge on itil practices like incident/problem/change management.
Should be a quick learner to use the various tools that are currently in production.
Execute day to day routines to keep the systems up and running.
Roles and responsibilities:
Administers, deploys and tests software systems or applications used for network and server monitoring
Work with various cross functional team to design, implement and execute a solution.
Review the features of the products and try to coordinate with third party vendors to enhance the product value.
Execute day to day routines to keep the systems up and running.
